When starting the concept car, Constance and Caveman don’t want to say anythings because the idea is too risky and may make the team to the end. I love seasons 1 and 2, But season 3 is very bad. I loved season 1 and 2 but this episode left me with a sour aftertaste in my mouth, as if everything was rushed to cash in on views. I would not have accepted that car either. And the windscreen frame did not even sit flush on the car hood.

It was like a low polygon version in a cheap PC game. The edges don’t match or line up, pieces overlap, there are gaps between parts, the side pieces on the fenders did not follow the curve of the fender smoothly and they were straight vertical side, not convex/curved outwars to match the fender itself. This thing has terrible lines along the fenders and side skirts. This is NOT the same standard as the first season. Seriously? 60 k for what looks like a really cheap kit car. Come on! Then on to that Ford/Delahae or whatever. And, why paint it all nice outside but leave the engine bay dirty and unpainted. I did like the car but I have doubts as to whether it could do what was claimed. Also, power steering on this car or not? And those super wide rear tyres….surely you don’t want too much rear traction on a drift car. I am no drift expert, however the front wheel camber was way off form what I have seen on drift cars.
They all looked like serious spinout with oversteer that were cut short. I Didn’t see one real drift from the Merc, only cleverly edited scenes to make it look like it was somewhat drifting.

Regardless, Car Masters: Rust to Riches is a series that is destined to stay - it has the energy of an endless reality show due to the widening scope of what the crew can do.Įnjoy this show but man S3E1 makes me asks some serious questions which shatter the immersion of this show. But with the budget always a factor, that may seem unlikely for now (Netflix, throw that cash, baby!). It will be interesting to see if Netflix expands the brand with the crew and brings in specials, putting the crew on projects that far exceed the realms of their garage. With so many many models of vehicles, Car Masters: Rust to Riches has the same sell-by-date a the likes of Top Gear, where the possibilities and scope are endless. The first chapter shows the crew turning a 1933 Ford replica into an art deco Delahaye there’s plenty of raised eyebrows on whether they can make the car drift, especially on a highly technical track.īut there’s clearly longevity in a series like this. Not much sets itself apart from its predecessor in Car Masters: Rust to Riches season 3. By sticking to the same concept, the Netflix reality series gives eager audiences 8 more chapters of glorious renovations and tricky encounters. It’s not a show-off gig for interested scrap car marketeers. Despite loving their world, this pressure to make a profit, and be within budget, gives the series an added dimension there’s plenty of honesty in the concept. However, what grabs my attention in this highly creative show is the business acumen behind Gotham Garage’s passion. If this were a series about motor racing, my ears would peak. From my perspective, I’m not a car enthusiastic, and I’m not entirely interested in the process of auctioning and trading. The attention-to-detail is incredible, right down to the periscope camera and the buzzing saw blades that come out from underneath the front section of the race car.As we stated in season 2, Car Masters: Rust to Riches is a surprisingly well-thought-out reality series that flagrantly angles towards the petrol heads, but at the same time, shows some recognition to the process of converting tired cars and trucks and converting them into something special for trade.
